A newsletter to help keep you informed about the latest developments in mental health promotion in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Foreword from Judi Clements, Chief Executive, Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand

Kia ora. Welcome to the Winter issue of MindNet. I hope the coldest season is treating you well and you are managing to keep fit and healthy.

Judi ClementsOur winter issue is focused on Maori and mental health promotion and we have contributions from a wide range of people and projects.

Our guest editorial is from Bernard Te Paa, a Mental Health Foundation Board member, convenor of the MHF Board Maori Caucus and General Manager, Maori Health for Counties Manukau DHB.

We also have contributions from MHF Southern Regional Manager Freedom Preston-Clark as well as Carol Beckett, Tahuna Minhinnick, Inia Ashford and Rawiri Evans.

Freedom looks at how to develop a workshop for a Maori audience, Carol explores health promotion through social networking, Tahuna explains his online health websites - Ora Paho and Whanau Ora - and Inia tells us about his new friendship group initiative in the Taranaki.

All our authors have found unique ways of promoting Maori mental health and are sharing their experiences with us.

In addition, we also have regular columns updating you on:
